We are the Edu Bears Team! A group of professionals from a variety of backgrounds who are united by a belief in ambitious education delivered in a friendly and supportive environment. Our team is constantly growing, which we are really excited about.
Who we are
Edu Bears started out as a small team in 2013 and has expanded many times since then. Today, the company consists of seven departments that work closely together, supporting and complementing each other.
They are responsible for designing, improving and ensuring the quality of our products – which include methodology solutions, teaching materials and promotional resources – as well as training and supporting language school staff, organising educational events, sales activities and order processing.
If you are interested in joining us, we’d love to hear from you!
Owners of Edu Bears
Diana Kubica and Magdalena Duchnik are the owners of Edu Bears. They founded their first language school together and are also the authors of our method for the youngest children: Teddy Eddie. They are passionate about methodology and have inspired Edu Bears with their values: caring for the highest quality and good interpersonal relations. They run their language schools on a day-to-day basis and also deal with other issues related to the education industry: Magda organises language camps, Diana writes more teaching methods offered under licence by Edu Bears and runs the Edurela Foundation. Some time ago, they handed over the reins of the company to the board of directors, but they continue to support and inspire us all the time, accompanying us to important company events, for example at our annual Synergy Garden conference, or more intimately, at the team Christmas party.

Our history
2000
The Clan language school is established in Upper Silesia, Poland
Two friends, Diana and Magda, who share a similar vision of education, decide to open a language school. The first branch of Centrum Językowe Clan (Clan Language Centre) is opened in Tarnowskie Góry. From the very beginning, the school sets a high standard of teaching, focusing on communication and relationships with students and their parents.
2009
The first students start using the Teddy Eddie method
Diana Kubica and Magdalena Duchnik, the owners of the Clan network of schools, together with methodology expert Ola Komada, decide to combine all their best ideas, practices and concepts to create an ambitious course for the preschoolers learning in their schools. And so, the first book of the Teddy Eddie method is born.
2011
Teddy Eddie conquers Poland
In its first few years, Teddy Eddie makes a huge difference to the quality of the teaching of our youngest learners, with results that surprise even the authors themselves! The network of Clan schools grows at an incredible rate and language schools in other Polish towns and cities decide to implement the method under licence.
2013
A new company is established - Teddy Eddie spółka z o.o.
More and more language schools choose to work with us and introduce our method for preschool children. We feel that the time has come for the Teddy Eddie brand to formally separate from its parent company, Clan, and focus entirely on working with language schools. The new company is led by one of the authors of the method, Ola Komada, who has proudly held the position of CEO ever since.
2015
Savvy Ed - Eddie’s big brother
There are no follow-up courses available for Teddy Eddie graduates, who are young children with an incredibly high level of language skills. So we have no choice but to create them ourselves! With great passion and dedication, Diana Kubica develops the Savvy Ed method so that every graduate of Teddy Eddie courses, in over a hundred schools already licensed, has the chance to continue learning at the highest level.
2015
Our first licensee conference: Eddie’s Garden (later Synergy Garden)
We recognise that our methods are helping language schools achieve incredible growth and that there is a great need to unite, collaborate and share ideas and best practices. This is why we hold our first national conference for members of our network, with around 30 participants. Eddie’s Garden opens a new chapter in the company’s history, adding synergy and collaboration to our values and giving us a fresh boost of energy.
2018
Edu Bears, a business solutions company, is born
One day we wake up with the thought that our company can no longer be called Teddy Eddie! After all, in addition to the preschool method, we now offer Savvy Ed, we organise a conference and we are starting to support licensees in many areas (methodology, marketing, school organisation). So we redefine our brand identity and change our name. From now on we are Edu Bears!
2019
Teddy Eddie travels abroad
With several hundred schools and tens of thousands of children using our methods in Poland, we start thinking about entering new markets and introducing children from other countries to our ambitious and innovative approach. The Teddy Eddie method finds its way into schools in the Czech Republic, then Slovakia and Spain, and it seems to work just as well everywhere!
2021
Edward’s League – the final step of our ambitious educational pathway
It is no surprise that, as our students grow, we see the need to add another method to our educational pathway to help our learners become truly global citizens. The graduates of our Edward’s League courses are young ambitious teenagers with a very good command of English (high school level by the end of primary school), but above all with great self-confidence and the belief that they can achieve anything.
2023
Synergy Garden Conference 2023 in Katowice
We organise the industry’s biggest education event, bringing together nearly 500 people with a passion for ambitious education, who are guided by values such as quality, children’s wellbeing and positive communication. We raise over PLN 60,000 for charity and the good energy keeps us flying high!

Our Team
Central Department
Every company needs a heart and a brain, and that is exactly the role of the Central Department. This is where we create the vision for the development of Edu Bears, our methods and our network - this is the work of the heart, because we are driven by our passion for creating high-quality education based on great relationships. This is also where we develop our strategy - this is the task of the brain. Our goals and plans are precise, ambitious and measurable. We always try to be a few steps ahead so that nothing surprises us or our clients.
Sales Department
At Edu Bears, selling is more than just a job – it’s a passion! Our team of experts is available to provide personalised solutions tailored to our clients’ needs at any time of the day or night. Some of us specialise in finding partners in the local market, while others are able to instantly connect with prospective international clients.
We engage in open conversations with our clients, explaining the benefits of working with us and answering even the most difficult questions. We are committed to providing our clients with comprehensive and reliable information to help them decide if they should enter into a licensing agreement. We are delighted that many of our existing clients consider this to be their best business decision.
Customer Service Centre
Billing, invoicing, orders or complaints are topics that hold no secrets for the Customer Service Centre. We invoice orders efficiently, process them quickly and supplement the products in the shop on an ongoing basis, so that licensees can take full advantage of our offer.
Support and Customer Development Department
In the Customer Support and Development Department, we ensure that schools have constant support and feel confident working with our methods. We accompany licensees at every stage of the collaboration - from implementation into the network of Accredited Method Centres, to ongoing support, to activities to help promote and develop the school.
Methodology Department
The people in the Methodology Department are as diverse as the tasks they face. And they have a lot to do! From co-creating methods to testing them on 'living organisms' (most of our department are active teachers!), monitoring quality in partner schools, managing the Methodology Team (who are not Edu Bears employees but support us on a daily basis), making videos (including Instagram rolls), writing newsletters, designing tests, overseeing recording and printing - we are literally not afraid of anything. And then there are the face-to-face meetings with teachers at workshops, webinars, training sessions and events - we love them because we can finally get to know each other. So it is safe to say that in the Methodology Department no two days are the same and no two people are the same. It is a mix of personalities who complement each other’s skills and talents, and who work together like a well-oiled machine.
Marketing Department
At Edu Bears, the Marketing Department is a small team of professionals, each with a different set of marketing superpowers. Some are great at creating social media content, some love writing mailings and others enjoy developing creative promotional materials. It is important to us that our partners feel supported in their marketing efforts. That is why we are committed to providing them not only with ready-made promotional materials, but also with the expertise and tools that will help them successfully promote their language schools.
Publications and Visual Identity Department
The Graphics Department at Edu Bears is responsible for ensuring that the visual identity of all our methods and products looks good in both the online and offline environment. Seeing our graphic designs being used by our partners always makes us smile. But our greatest joy is in DTP (Desktop Publishing), which involves preparing educational materials for printing for all Edu Bears methods. There is nothing more rewarding for us than to smell a new book that we have been working on for months on our computer screens.
IT Department
The primary responsibility of our IT team is the development and maintenance of our applications for children learning with the Edu Bears methods and our Bears’ Station platform for the companies that work with us. We are dedicated to ensuring that these solutions are not only secure, but also constantly evolving, so that they can provide the most benefit for children and language schools. Our team is also available to assist clients and learners with any issues they may have with our applications. We work regularly with language schools and other departments within Edu Bears to adapt our products to the changing needs of both children and business partners.
Supply Department
The Supply Department does what it does best: shopping. This is, of course, the final step in our work, preceded by a complex analysis, planning and search for the best goods and the best vendors. We work with several printers who provide us with high quality books and we are continually expanding our network of trusted suppliers. We maintain strong relationships with our partners, which allows us to secure better, more optimal purchasing conditions. An essential part of our role is to manage stock levels to ensure that our licensees always have access to the products they need.
I make sure that there are always new ideas and initiatives at Edu Bears and that all our products are constantly improved. I am a co-author of all the teaching methods we offer and oversee every stage of their development and implementation.
As the person in charge of the budget, I am involved in all decisions concerning the development of Edu Bears. Together with my departments, we produce a lot of our beloved spreadsheets and statistics, analysing and drawing conclusions, but always keeping in mind the values of Edu Bears, our own development and our relationships. It gives me great pleasure to work with developers to create new applications and to oversee the maintenance and development of our current applications and systems.
